Training Tips by Email - Positive Duck Dogs

I have started a new discussion group on yahoo called positive duckdogs. Hopefully it will be a useful tool to spread the word on gentle, effective, simple training techniques to produce good duck dogs.

I certainly don't have all the answers, but I am trying hard to get out of the box and come up with some gentle, simple, effective training protocols that produce a good gundog. Your help and input will be appreciated. Please join the group described below:

This list is for owners and trainers of duck dogs who wish to learn, use and promote positive training methods in the field. The well known dog trainer, Robert Milner, is one of the moderators. The goal of this list is also to promote vastly simplified retriever training methods in order to make it easy for the average duck hunter to train his retriever in a gentle effective manner. Robert Milner is currently combining his 40 years of traditional training experience with 10 years of positive training experience in an effort to come up with the best mix of training techniques which are gentle, effective and simple to conduct.
